Can you relate to Susie? Susie Christian has become a follower of Jesus Christ. She joined her local church, and now that she has become a member, she wonders what’s next. Susie listens to the pastor’s sermons, and while in the sanctuary, she feels inspired by the word. She believes every word that the pastor says and feels blessed. But soon as she gets to the parking lot or back home, the inspiration goes away, and she begins to feel like something is still missing in her life. She continues to sin and not turn away from it. She continues to fall into a backslidden condition.
She goes through the same cycles over and over again that bring frustration and despair. She thinks there has to be more to being a Christian than going to church on Sunday and Wednesday Bible Study. She still senses a void in her heart. She wants to experience God like the people in the Bible did. She wants signs, wonders, and miracles to follow her. She wants to lay hands on her friends and family members that are sick and heal them like Jesus said that she would be able to do. She wants to feel God’s presence not only in the sanctuary, but at her home, at her job, at the grocery store, and even in her car.
She wants to understand God as a Spirit. She wants to know God intimately in spirit and in truth at all hours. She wants to see the church functioning as the body of Christ, not a church that is just top-heavy, with a bunch of pastors, ministers, and elders who are not equipping the saints to go out in the world. She wants to be taught like Jesus Christ taught the disciples to go out into the world. She realizes that the pastor cannot help her because he’s busy with his other obligations. She realizes that other members in the congregation cannot help her because they are experiencing the same issues she has.
She needs someone who has the solution to her problem. She realizes she needs a Christian Spiritual Life Coach (CSLC) who has experienced the same struggles and has a solution to help her. A CSLC that can use her own spiritual journey experience, biblical principles/scriptures, and life coaching skills/techniques to help her begin to experience God and grow spiritually to begin to have that void filled. The void of a close intimate relationship with her Lord & Savior. She is searching for a CSLC that understands Matthew 6:33 and can provide the guidance and support she needs.
