Faith The Gardener

Once upon a time, in a lush and lively garden, there lived a diligent gardener named Faith. This garden was special; not only did it bear the usual fruits and flowers, but it also blossomed with Love, Joy, Peace, and all the fruits of the spirit. However, as much as the garden flourished, there was an area that remained barren, where only thorns and weeds grew, stifling the life around it.

Faith discovered that these thorns were not ordinary; they were the thorny vines of Discord, sprouting from an ancient seed of Separation planted long ago. Just like in real families where troubles like separation and divorce can leave a lasting mark, this Discord had a generational root, entangling every new plant that tried to grow nearby in its vice-like grip.

Determined to restore the garden to its full glory, Faith set about the 6-step process to renewal as taught by Dr. Reva in the “Let’s Get To The Root of Divorce Day 2” session:

1. **Identifying the Root**: Faith had to get down on her knees and dig deep to find the seed of Separation that started it all.

2. **Understanding the Growth**: She examined how the thorny vines of Discord wound their way through the soil, realizing they were fed by whispers of doubt and neglect.

3. **Extracting the Root**: With care and precision, Faith began to remove the thorny vines, ensuring every piece was gone to prevent it from regrowing.

4. **Planting New Seeds**: In place of the old, hurtful seed, Faith planted seeds of Unity and Forgiveness, symbols of the healthy relationships we hope to cultivate in our lives.

5. **Watering and Monitoring**: She tended to these new seeds with encouragement and prayer, much like covering family members in prayer to protect them.

6. **Reaping a New Harvest**: Over time, the once barren patch blossomed with new life, brimming with the vibrant beauty of restored relationships.

Faith learned, as Dr. Reva shared, that the garden of her heart was not simply for her alone. It was a place where generational blessings could thrive if she remained vigilant in guarding against the spiritual weeds of life, doing the inner work, and keeping the gates of her soul closed to the invasive spirits of Discord and Separation.

Each plant in Faith’s garden stood as a testament to a family healed, a marriage mended, and a heart made whole, a vibrant reflection of the bountiful harvest that awaits when we tend to the spiritual roots of our lives.
